MEPIT conquers the U.S.
Pratt & Whitney, a world leader in the design, production and maintenance of aircraft engines and auxiliary power units relies on MEPIT, company based on Settimo Torinese, for the production and assembly of the components of the F135 engine.
“Today it’s a big day” debuted Luca Pigato, CEO of MEPIT. “This 10 years contract we have been awarded is a big step in the future, which will lead us to cooperate with one of the leader in the aerospace market as Pratt & Whitney for the supply and assembly of components for the F135, the engine that powers the V generation fighter of Lockheed Martin, the F35”.
The first contact between the US giant and MEPIT dates back to 2011 during the Aerospace and Defense Meetings in Torino, the unique International Aviation Business Convention in Italy – born in the bosom of Torino Piemonte Aerospace, a project supporting foreign markets, address to the aerospace and defense supply chain of Piedmont, managed by Piemonte Agency for Investments, Export and Tourism (CEIP) commissioned by the Turin Chamber of Commerce of Turin, the Piedmont Region and the regional Chambers.
